Being part of the Philadelphia Media Founders Exchange (PMFE) has been a major blessing for CMPRadio.net and CMP Radio Foundation, not just because of the resources or the recognition, but because it reminded us that we belong.
We are from Chester, Delaware County.
A place with heart, hustle, and history. A place people overlook, but can’t ignore. And through this program, we didn’t just show up, we stood tall, represented our city, and proved that meaningful media can come from anywhere, especially here.
The $50,000 grant we received wasn’t just about money, it was a statement. It allowed us to invest in the things that matter: equipment upgrades, systems, staffing, and structure. But more importantly, it helped us amplify our mission, to serve, to uplift, and to tell our stories our way.
The personalized coaching was a game-changer.
It wasn’t just general advice, it was tailored, intentional guidance that helped us grow our platform with clarity. The 1-on-1 sessions with industry experts gave us tools we’re already using to build a stronger, more sustainable station.
And the peer-driven learning? That hit home.
Being in a space with other BIPOC entrepreneurs, hearing their stories, learning from their journeys, it was empowering. We didn’t just gain knowledge, we gained a community.
This fellowship helped me grow not just as an entrepreneur, but as a man. As someone who’s justice-impacted, I’ve had to fight to be seen for who I am today, not who I used to be. To be in this space, to be recognized, and to be supported means more than words can say.
To the coaches, mentors, and everyone in the cohort, thank you. And to my city, to Chester, we’re doing this for you. Every step forward is a win for all of us.
We are from Chester, and we’re building something real.
With purpose. With passion. With love.
And trust me, we’re just getting started.
